AXIS is a psychological self-development service operated by Manuel Duarte Mendes. Its primary public paid offer is the standalone three-part Diagnostic: a Diagnostic Portrait in responsive HTML, a mobile 90-Day Companion in responsive HTML, and a Complete Text Edition containing the readable text from both. Artificial intelligence assists with the Portrait. AXIS then renders the Companion deterministically from the validated Portrait and generates the text edition mechanically from the Portrait and Companion; neither derivative makes a separate AI-model request or adds a new AI interpretation. Coaching is a separate human-led service. After your Diagnostic is delivered, you may apply through a mutual-fit process; no invitation is required, and the Diagnostic remains complete on its own.
AXIS is not a medical or clinical service. It is not therapy. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, psychiatric care, or counselling. AXIS documents and coaching materials are for educational and self-development purposes only.
AXIS does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition or illness. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or thoughts of self-harm, contact a crisis service immediately.
The Diagnostic Portrait is produced with AI-assisted synthesis. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, duplicated material, or interpretations that do not accurately reflect your situation. The mobile 90-Day Companion is rendered deterministically from the validated Portrait, and the Complete Text Edition is generated mechanically from the Portrait and Companion. Those derivatives add no separate AI interpretation, but they can carry through an error present in the Portrait. An ordinary Diagnostic does not create an internal coaching-support document.
AXIS requires the AI-assisted Portrait to separate evidence from interpretation, state uncertainty, include plausible alternatives, avoid clinical diagnosis and causal health claims, and leave unsupported gaps unfilled. The Portrait must pass content, quality, safety, privacy, completeness, and visual checks; the deterministic Companion and text edition must pass source-fidelity and completeness checks. Work that passes is delivered automatically; if any required check flags an issue, the complete delivery is held for review. These controls reduce risk but do not make the documents infallible. By using AXIS, you acknowledge and agree that:
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or use the AXIS Diagnostic. AXIS is not offered to minors, and you must not submit Diagnostic answers for a person under 18. Before the questionnaire begins, you must provide a separate confirmation that you are 18 or older; AXIS records the confirmation and timestamp without asking for your exact date of birth.
The AI system used to assist the Portrait and the deterministic systems used to produce its client-facing derivatives operate under guardrails appropriate to their function:
AXIS payments are processed by Stripe. AXIS does not store your full payment-card information.
Before AXIS creates a Stripe payment session, you must actively agree to the AXIS Terms & Refund Policy and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. The AXIS-controlled checkout records that acceptance with the checkout request before redirecting you to Stripe; Stripe handles the payment step but is not relied on to record this acceptance.
The Diagnostic costs $99 USD total as a one-time payment unless a valid AXIS promotion is applied in the controlled checkout; applicable tax is included in the total Stripe displays before confirmation. A promotion changes the checkout price, not the three promised parts or the clarity guarantee. Private promotion eligibility and restrictions are communicated directly to intended recipients and enforced at controlled checkout. After questionnaire submission, AXIS aims to deliver your complete Diagnostic — the responsive Portrait HTML, responsive Companion HTML, and Complete Text Edition (.txt) — within 24–48 hours. If an exceptional quality or safety issue requires more time, AXIS will contact you at the email used for purchase.
For the Diagnostic, the following 30-day satisfaction guarantee applies. Complete the Diagnostic, use the personalised plan, and if you do not feel you have more clarity about yourself than before, request a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Your complete Diagnostic remains yours. Send the request from your purchase email to hello@axismethod.io.
Every Diagnostic for which more than $0 was paid — including a purchase made with a discounted promotion code — includes one correction pass at no additional charge. A transaction totaling $0 does not include this commercial correction pass. That exclusion does not limit your privacy rights, statutory rights, or ability to report a safety or privacy problem.
Request the pass through the private Diagnostic page linked from your delivery email within 30 days of first delivery. The request must identify a material factual error or a materially unsupported interpretation in the delivered Diagnostic. The pass is not a style rewrite, a new questionnaire, a general preference change, or an update based on circumstances that changed after you submitted your answers.
If the request qualifies, AXIS uses the original questionnaire and your correction details to regenerate and quality-check a revised complete Diagnostic edition. The revised edition is generated automatically and is usually delivered to the original purchase email within 24–48 hours after the correction is accepted. The original edition is preserved. The correction pass does not shorten or replace the 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and requesting a correction does not waive your right to request a refund within that guarantee period.
Seven days after delivery of your current Diagnostic, AXIS may use Resend to send one non-promotional service-quality feedback request. If you request a correction before that message is sent, the request follows the corrected edition instead. It does not subscribe you to marketing. You can object or opt out through your private Diagnostic page, and responding is optional. The feedback request asks you not to include new health information or other sensitive personal details.
Feedback is private by default. AXIS will use it publicly as a testimonial only if you separately permit one exact quote and choose whether the quote may appear anonymously or with your name. Providing feedback or testimonial permission is never a condition of receiving your Diagnostic, correction pass, refund, or support.
Coaching is a separate human-led service available through an application and mutual-fit process; no invitation is required. Before payment, you receive the proposed scope, schedule, price, privacy choices, cancellation terms, and success measures. Those written engagement terms form part of your coaching agreement. You do not repeat the Diagnostic intake merely because coaching begins.
If you purchase as a consumer in the EU or EEA, mandatory consumer law may give you a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance-service contract, depending on the circumstances. By submitting your completed questionnaire, you expressly request that AXIS begin the personalised Diagnostic service before any applicable withdrawal period has expired.
You acknowledge that an applicable statutory withdrawal right may end once the service has been fully performed after your request — for the Diagnostic, when all three promised parts have been completed and delivered. If you validly withdraw after work has begun but before full performance, applicable law may allow AXIS to charge a proportionate amount for the service already supplied. Nothing in these terms excludes, limits, or replaces mandatory consumer rights. The AXIS 30-day satisfaction guarantee is an additional commercial promise; it does not shorten any statutory withdrawal, refund, conformity, or remedy right that applies to you.
See our privacy policy for details on how your data is collected, processed, and stored. Your questionnaire responses are sensitive. They are never sold and are shared only with the contracted service providers required to operate and deliver AXIS, under the safeguards described in that policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AXIS, its creators, affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of AXIS products or services. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant AXIS product or programme.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of AXIS after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes through the website or by email where appropriate.
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. The courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, subject always to any mandatory consumer right to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of your domicile or in another forum required by applicable law.
